Labour vanity projects slammed.

Your replies to last years Penclawdd recovery survey in Focus showed that 80% of the people replying felt that Swansea Council does not invest enough in areas outside the city centre.
No wonder people were so angry when they heard that the Labour council was planning to name parts of the new arena building on Swansea seafront after current Labour councillors. Chris Holley, the leader of the Liberal Democrat-Independent opposition group, said he had nothing against the councillors but objected to naming something after a serving politician. Instead of getting the basics right with council services, Labour are wasting money on their own prestige.
“It’s just vain, inappropriate and wrong,” Councillor Holley said.
